Taking pictures is one of the few things that Bill Konway has been doing longer than hunting and fishing. The taking of pictures at some point evolved into capturing moments, and then feelings, and then glimpses into the soul of his subject’s. Whether it was a person or a place didn’t matter. His uncanny ability to take the viewer with him, as if looking over his shoulder, allows them to experience the smells, the tastes, and the very essence of the location, perhaps even the thoughts that might be running through the subjects mind as the photograph is made.
Twenty plus years as a photojournalist in Chicago has honed his natural instincts for a great photograph but his desire to uncover the beauty of the natural world has left him with a critical eye to look for the little things. Details that can reveal as much as the "Big Picture" itself.
