It’s All Fun, till…

It’s all fun till someone gets hurt. This time unfortunately it was Chris Brackett’s fiance, Jodi Barnes. What started out as a rather ordinary day of filming a new flying fish episode for Pat Reeves, Nicole Jones, and Driven TV, turned into a somewhat more serious event. During the filming, Nicole and Jodi were shooting at the back of the boat. Jodi had just fired at a fish when a second fish, about 12 pounds came out of the water to her right and struck her in the side of the face. Her initial reaction was “I’m hurt”. She was immediately taken to the doctor that told her, her jaw was broken. The prognosis is good, but the price is going to be 6 weeks of having her jaw wired shut. Jodi’s a tough chick, and she’ll be the first one to tell you that as well. She’s been in good spirits considering, and looking forward to being able to eat real food again. Below are a few more shots of the incident. I’d hate to be those fish when she gets back on the boat. “Kill ‘em All!” was her text to us from the doctors an hour after her incident.

Chris turns to react to the thump we all heard as Jodi gets spun around a bit and the fish tumbles back to the water.
